Access

From Pemberton, drive up the Lillooet River road about 40km to Meager Creek junction. Follow the Meager Creek road to the hot springs. Cross bridge, take the right fork, and then the logging roads leading south and up to an elevation of about 910m.

Route

Head up towards the 2040m bump to the southeast and contour around its east side on a bench at about 1860m. A quick descent of about 120m ends at Madhorse Creek where flat campsites are available. Two alternate routes can be taken into this area; the ridge northwest of Madhorse Creek provides the quickest access for ascents of Overseer Mountain and Spidery Peak and the route following upper Madhorse Creek is best late in the season.

Hazards

  1. Most travel beyond Madhorse Creek is on glaciers.
