This is a day trip hike up Coliseum Mountain in Lynn Canyon Park, which is accessible by translink so it is a great trip if you don't have a car!  Also great if you've got too many midterms and papers to justify spending an entire weekend playing (this is me).  If you're ambitious it is also possible to bike to the park entrance (Headwaters), but I can't join as I do not have a bike at the moment :(  Most of the hike is through the forest, which is nice because if it rains (which it probably will) there will be lots of beautiful mist.  Don't let the fact that the park is accessible by bus scare you off...the trail up Coliseum mountain is not frequented and is definitely far from a typical walking path.  Round trip is about 22 km and 1200 m elevation gain there's lots of fun, squishy mud so wear good boots and gaiters!

General Information

This is a day trip hike up Colliseum Mountain in Lynn Canyon Park, which is accessible by translink so it is a great trip if you don't have a car! The plan is to meet at the gates to Headwaters at 8:00 am. The walk from the gates into the park is about 1 km down a road. Email me (below) if you are planning on busing and maybe we could go together!
