<b>Please have the last person in your car at 6:30 am</b>Drive to Squamish.  Turn left onto Squamish Valley Road (after the tourist centre) and <b>set your odometer</b>.  Stay left at 3.7 kmAt about 24 km, turn left onto the Ashlu Creek road (there will be a bridge right away and it's marked by signs for "Buck Mountain Campground").  <b>Reset your odometer</b>.  At 0.7 km ignore the right fork.  There's an unmarked road at 2.3 km on left, park on the main road just past it.  We'll meet here.
Drive east on Highway 1.  Turn off right (south) at Exit 119A to take Vedder Road (following signs for Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park)Follow Vedder Road through Sardis and Vedder Crossing to a three-way intersection at a bridge.  Turn left onto Chilliwack Lake Road and <b>set your odometer</b>.  Drive about 37km then turn right on Paulsen Road, after 100m turn left at the fork. Continue past houses for 800m (continuing straight through a junction)Park here where the road ends before a small bridge.  We will meet at this parking area at approximately <b>8:30 am</b> on Saturday.

Old Trip
This is the sign up and organization page for an old trip. It already happened. Please do not sign up for it.

Synopsis

The goal is to scramble the to the peak of Mount MacDonald in Chilliwack in one day. MacDonald is listed in Matt Gunn's Scrambles as a moderate scramble so a helmet is required. The trailhead is only about 2 hours drive from Vancouver and is accessible by 2WD vehicles.

Trip Leader: Laura Morrison.
