Lots of other pages have an "external links" section embedded in the page. For example [[Ski Maintenance]], [[Diamond Head]] and the [[Elfin Lakes Shelter]] and [[West Coast Trail]]. Yeah, you're right. Probably most external links should go on the relevant page. Possibly those links could also be collected on a specific links page, but that sounds pretty annoying to keep up to date. It's not entirely clear to me where all the links on the [[web links]] page would go if we wanted to delete the page. Maybe some of them are unnecessary.
