The mission of the workshops is to provide you with an avalanche safety primer in a grass-roots style. We want to help you learn how to play it safe, through a progressive and unique forum for the sharing of ideas and developments. If you like to snowboard, ski or ride a sled, this workshop will help you reduce your chance of getting in trouble with avalanches. This year, the Backcountry Avalanche Workshops will include interactive exercises and instructional lectures taught by Canadian Avalanche Centre Avalanche Forecasters and Canadian Avalanche Association Level 1 and Level 2 instructors.
