Edited to add: Last weekend (Nov 17-18, 2007) the skiing was great in the alpine, but coming down from the hut to the road was some of the nastiest steep tree skiing I've ever done. | |||

I don't think the Brian Waddington Hut is a safe destination for people who have never skied before because of the fairly steep forest skiing on the descent. It's much more difficult than Brew or Red Heather or Rainbow Lake or other beginner friendly places. I think the skiing difficulty is what makes this an intermediate level trip.
Edited to add: Last weekend (Nov 17-18, 2007) the skiing was great in the alpine, but coming down from the hut to the road was some of the nastiest steep tree skiing I've ever done. Scott Nelson
