Brew is our most accessible Hut; about 5 km of hiking on a route which VOC has been improving for skiing. It has a wood burning heater, so expect to get warm in case you got cold and wet on the trip in.

Things you should bring

  • boots that work in wet bush. It probably won't rain. waterproof clothes (jacket and maybe pants)
  • a hat and gloves are good for warmth
  • sweater, or fleece jacket.
  • a sleeping bag, though it gets so warm in the Hut, this is almost optional. Sleeping mat of some sort.
  • food, consisting of two lunches, one breakfast, one dinner. Eating utensils. (Bowl, spoon)
  • There's a Coleman stove up there so we will bring white gas (naphtha) for five. You don't have to bring a stove.
