Revision as of 17:41, 12 October 2009

Once upon a time, access to the Brian Waddington hut was difficult. Then the club built a beautiful new trail.

The trail is in pretty good shape, but it won't stay that way without maintenance. This will be a great chance to get out and do some real, useful, but not too threatening work for the club. October is a great time for these sorts of things - you'll feel good, even though the climbing season is coming to an end and ski season is yet to begin.

This trip will be beginner friendly

Dates

This trip will happen on October 24-25, with a pre-trip meeting the Wednesday before, before the slide show. Hopefully there's not too much snow...

Note: sorry to those 2 who signed up for the original posted date a week earlier - it had to be moved

Specific Tasks

This will get filled in as the dates get closer, but the main idea is to work on some of the upper wet areas, final touches to the new bridge at the outlet as well as the construction of some new ones, and work on the trail on the North side of the lake.

What to bring to survive

This will get filled in as the dates approach as well.

Participants

Write your name here if you're interested in helping out. We'll sort out the people who are actually coming at the pre-trip meeting - so if you can't come find a representative. Please indicate experience level, car ownership status, and projects you're keen on.

There will be no limit on participants, but after 24 you're sleeping in tents because the hut is full
