Great page Jeff (and other contributors). My only comment is that it might be nice to see the pictures uploaded onto the VOC Wiki site and placed inline with the article, rather than having the external links to the physics server. The wiki software will create thumbnails, etc. for you if that's what you want. The Brew Hut and Navigation pages have some nice examples of different ways that pictures can be linked into an article. Scott Nelson 12:44, 14 December 2006 (MST)

Good idea, that way if Jeff ever graduates and his physics account dies, the wiki will still have the pics. Scott Webster 13:01, 14 December 2006 (MST)

Double rapping

So, the idea with two people rapping at the same time, one on each strand, is that there is enough friction at the top that the heavy person doesn't pull the light person up? Is this "safe"? I'm guessing Jeff did it with Kaja, and he wasn't pulled up, so it's probably good. I guess you are trusting your lives to each other because if one person decides to disconnect at the bottom first then the other falls to their death. Scott Webster 16:01, 20 December 2006 (MST)

Europa?

Well at least he didn't change it to Uranus. Scott Nelson

Europa's surface is an icy crust. Beneath that is a liquid ocean. Only once you go down a 100 km or so do you get to the rock. Not too dissimilar to the climb. Scott Webster 23:17, 5 March 2007 (PST)
