Monday, August 24th --? 2 nights
The Style
We should be "low output" and "beginner-friendly". We want to go somewhere pretty and enjoy being there. We do not need to scare ourselves badly. The Harrison Hut area is extensively glaciated, but we do not intend to wander around on these glaciers.
Day 1
Drive up past Meager Hotsprings and camp. Check out the hotsprings on the way by.
Day 2
Hike into Harrison Hut along the high scenic route. This should be "fairly low output" and "beginner friendly".
Day 3
"Climb" the Three Stooges and/or Frozen Boot or similar relatively low output pointy object.
Day 4
Go home, unless we already went home yesterday.
Gear
We do not need rope, crampons, an ice axe, or other implements of destruction. Boots, gaiters, sleeping bag, pack, food, some slightly warm weather resistant clothes will be good. We have a GPS for navigation. If you are unfamiliar with any of this, talk to Roland.
HOWEVER
The area is extensively managed, so if the Authorities decide to close the road we're S.O.L. Depends if it's too hot, too dry, too wet, or whatever. We could divert to somewhere if this happens.
