Location

Deeks Lake near Highway 99

Driving Directions to the trailhead are:

Aim to cross the Lions Gate Bridge northbound at 7:30AM. Turn right off highway 99 near the Porteau Cove development. This is about 1km south of Porteau cove provincial Park. The Deeks Lake Trail trailhead has a signpost on Hwy 99. Everyone will meet in the parking lot before heading up the trail. Driving time to this point is about 45 minutes from the Lions Gate Bridge.

Pre-Trip Meeting

There will be no pre-trip meeting.

General Information

This is an extra trip to accomodate the persons on the wait list of Intro to Wilderness Survival. On Sat Nov 21 we will drive up Highway 99 to the Deeks Lake trail, hike up to Deeks Lake and sleep there, returning on Sun Nov 22.

Sign Up

The top seven people are from the wait list for Intro to Wilderness Survival. If these people do not want to come they may erase their names. Additional people can also sign up.
