The Route
This is a 4-day, 3-night bike tour involving several ferries. We will leave on Aug 9 and come back on Aug 12 in the evening.
Tsawwassen --> Swartz Bay ferry ($16 adult + bike)
Swartz Bay --> Comox. bike 110 km (250 km?)
Comox --> Powell River. ferry ($14.50)
Powell River --> Saltery Bay. bike 30 km
Saltery Bay --> Earls Cove. ferry. ($14.50)
Earls Cove --> Langdale. Bike 80 km
Langdale --> Horseshoe Bay. ferry. ($15)
Total distance to bike: 360 km (calculated based on road distance -- may differ due to more convenient bike routes) Total ferry costs: $60
Camping spots are to be decided upon and will be listed here along with the ferry times we'll try to make
Gear/Requirements
You should be able to (and want to) ride a bike for the whole day -- we'll do about 90km a day, on average.
