2013-2015 Treasurer: Caitlin Schneider
Recommendations:
- Use an excel spread sheet to keep track of expenses and revenues
- Reimbursements, cheques, etc: it's hard to follow these expenses since you won't get an copy like it is the case for deposits. I have been making carbon copies of all the forms i give to the AMS
- The treasurer is not supposed to buy any stuff. However, you can, but you need 2 signatures from exec members to get reimbursed.
- I have talked to the people at BC assessment for the property taxes on the huts and gotten exemption for Phelix. We paid for 2013 but should not pay int he future. Be aware if you get an assessment in the fall to ask them for an exemption again. This goes for all the huts.
- I made up invoices for the journal ads to encourage getting payment. it worked!
Deadlines:
- FMCBC: 2 Installments, the fist one is before September 30th. For the second one e-mail Jodi the member stats as of March 15th (or 31th).
- Hemlock is cool, and can organize a teaching session for the journal editor in Janurary. Mail them a check 2 weeks before.
