Clubroom Rules
Treat our clubroom with the same respect you would our huts or the outdoors and follow the Leave No Trace Principles.
- Plan Ahead
- Schedule your trip to avoid times of high use. Club activities have priority.
- Visit in small (VOC) groups.
- Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
- Good campsites are found, not made. Altering the clubroom is not necessary.
- Mind for the clubroom, it belongs to all of us.
- Dispose of Waste Properly
- Pack it in, pack it out. Inspect your campsite and rest areas for trash or spilled foods.
- Pack out all trash, leftover food, and litter. (Even if it's not yours)
- Leave What You Find
- Preserve the past: examine, but do not remove, cultural or historic structures, artifacts or library books.
- Leave rocks, plants and other natural objects as you find them.
- Do not build structures, furniture, or dig trenches.
- Minimize Campfire Impacts
- No campfires are permitted in the clubroom.
- Respect Wildlife
- Observe wildlife from a distance.
- Protect wildlife and your food by not storing rations in the clubroom.
- Avoid wildlife during sensitive times: mating, nesting, raising young, exam season or winter.
- Be Considerate of Others
- Respect other visitors and protect the quality of their experience.
- Be courteous. Yield to other users on the trail.
- Let nature's sounds prevail. Avoid loud voices and noises.
Use of the clubroom is ultimately a privilege. Abuse the clubroom and it will be revoked.
