Many VOCers can't afford cars, but that doesn't mean you have to scrounge a ride to get out. This page is dedicated to trips that can be pulled off without a car.
Busses
Many trips in west and north vancouver are accessible by city bus, or various shuttle busses:
Greyhound runs Regular service between Vancouver and Whistler providing good access to trailheads for:
- Garibaldi Lake and Black Tusk extra walk or hitchhike from highway to trailhead
- Russet Lake
- Howe Sound Crest Trail north end
Hitchhiking
Combination
- Stein Valley by Bus + short hitchhikes along Lillooet Lake Road and to the Lytton trailhead
- Mount Sproat by Bus + hitchhike to trailhead from Whistler Village
- Rainbow Mountain by Bus + hitchhike to trailhead from Whistler Village
