Many VOCers can't afford cars, but that doesn't mean you have to scrounge a ride to get out. This page is dedicated to trips that can be pulled off without a car.

Busses

Many trips in west and north vancouver are accessible by city bus, or various shuttle busses:

Hitchhiking

Combination

  • Stein Valley by Bus + short hitchhikes along Lillooet Lake Road and to the Lytton trailhead
  • Mount Sproat by Bus + hitchhike to trailhead from Whistler Village
  • Rainbow Mountain by Bus + hitchhike to trailhead from Whistler Village

Cycling

Biking to the trailhead opens up access to a lot of nearby parks that are hard to get to by bus.

Multimodal Self Propelled

a combination of biking, paddling, walking, and climbing.
