VOC Exec Meeting Agenda
Exec meetings take place on Tuesdays at 1pm in the clubroom. The meetings are open to interested memebers as well as the exec.
If you wish to add an agenda item, please edit this page or contact the president.
See also the Exec TODO List which lists things that need to be done that don't need to be talked about at the moment.
Tuesday 12th October 1pm - VOC Clubroom
FUTURE Agenda Items
Work Hikes
We should organise some...
- Ski tune up. (dates?)
- VOC hut maintenance
- VOC journal indexing.
Committee Reports
- Clubroom Committee. Report back from first meet and plan of action.
- Brew Hut Committee
- Conservation Committee.
Misc
- Gear purchases plan for 2004-2005.
- Summary of Gear Swap purchases:
- 4 pairs of rock shoes: 160$ (100, 20, 20, 20)
- 2 harnesses: 130$ (80, 50)
- 2 pairs of tele boots: 423$ (overpaid! but we might get the money back! I will go today or tomorrow)
- 1 pair of skins: 25$.
- The VOC is grateful to the family and friends of former VOC member Jean Kay who have donated $545 to the VOC's new hut fund in her memory. She was an active member in the 1940's. This money is to be used for a special project (other than the Brew Hut).
- Slideshow Strategy. Price of digital projector? Extra slide carousel $25.
- Signal to Noise Ratio on Message Board. Do we want to separate "trips" from "talk"?
- Alumni Membership Renewals. Currently alumni members must fill in a form every year to keep getting access to web/email. This may be hard for some. Is it necessary? Do we need to check that students don't claim to be alumni? If we don't require them to fill a form, what is the proper procedure for renewal (email the membership chair?)
- Tim reports he is attending a meeting on trail use on the North Shore October 19th 5:30 to 7:30pm at Delbrook Recreational Centre, Oak Room 600 Queens Rd, North Vancouver. "This will be the second workshop for public input and will be to review trail priorities, identify system links, plan the trail network, provide feedback on trail usage, identify areas of conflict and opportunity and to lay the groundwork for the development of an integrated trail system". Anyone interested in joining should contact Tim.
