VOC Exec Meeting Agenda

Exec meetings take place on Tuesdays at 1pm in the clubroom. The meetings are open to interested memebers as well as the exec.

Tuesday 19th October 1pm - VOC Clubroom

• Clubroom Committee. Report back from first meeting. New agenda items for the committee:

1. Large Map - it has been suggested to construct a new map using the money donated in memory of Jean Kay, which will bear a dedication to this effect.
2. VOC map collection - the collection of 1:50,000 maps in the clubroom is not used, and essential maps are missing. Up to date maps are available from the map library, with a photocopier nearby. Should we scrap the VOC maps?
3. Noticeboard - this needs a section giving details of upcoming trips. Trip organisers should put this information up, but we need to clear a section for "Upcoming Trips" first.
4. Locked cabinet - Fern Webb has provided a small cabinet, which lacks a top, but she has threatened to construct one. This would enable us to remove the larger old one and free up space. Do we need this space? Shall we trash the old cabinet?
5. Chairs - chairs are needed for the Wednesday slideshows. Previously they have been brought in from elsewhere in the SUB, but not returned. Should we buy some stackable plastic chairs?

• Brainstorm: Midnight adventure race at <SECRET LOCATION>! Need a poorly detailed map of the area. Cheap, but useful prizes? Afterwards, head over to Wreck beach for 2 things: hot choco and avalanche transceiver training for the upcoming winter season. -Tom

3 new committees have been formed. The exec would like to hear a report back and plan of action after the first meeting of each committee.
