Brew Hut rebuild/Tools list

The following is a list of tools we will need for construction. Please add anything you think we will need: it will be difficult to go to the hardware store once we are on site.

Tools Needed for May 21-23 flight and foundation work

• First aid kit
• Carpenter's Hammer(1+)-- Roland (1)
• Heavy Hammer for rock drills (2) -- Roland(1), 1 more needed
• Rock drills and bits (2) -- Roland and Karine
• Hoe (for mixing concrete)
• pick -- (1 small one on site already)
• shovels -- (2 on site already)
• pry bar 1 already on site
• level (as long as possible)
• Wire brush (scrub rocks) -- Karine's toothbrush
• Buckets (haul water)
• Small tubes (blow dust from rock holes) -- Karine
• Plumb bob
• String line (already on site, but more string is always usefull) --Karine

ROLAND will be supplying the following for the flight in, and subsequent work: Hand Saw, keyhole saw, rasp, plane, wood chisel, hammer, heavy hammer, prospector's hammer, small caulking gun, small tin snips, hacksaw with two blades, two tape measures, two rock drill chisels, small collection of nails, nut drivers.

Other essential items that don't really count as tools:

• Broom - Roland (1)
• Cell phone (is there coverage up there) or some other kind of radio for communication between hut site and civilization
• First aid kit

BORIS: All right... for the building effort I can provide these tools: Hammer, drill (with two batteries and the bits), a handsaw, water level (meter and a small), square (small), nail puller, plum bob, chalkline, measuring tape, chisel, construction pencil (I assume that's what you mean by heavy duty), might have a hammertacker. As well, I could throw an exacto knife in there too (those always prove to be useful). However, all these tools are there for only as long as I am. I can't lend them out to people and I am definitely not leaving them at the site up there. By the by, I have a first-aid kit and know how to use it... but it is of the backpacking variety, so no fancy splints or extra medication in there. If you think we need it, you are welcome to it.
