I think this page should be moved to "Ski maintenance" with a lower case m. Mediawiki seems to automatically capitalize the first word in a wiki link, but the rest are usually lower case. This would likely break some links though. Scott Webster 00:23, 17 November 2006 (MST)

Removing kick wax

What do you mean by "scraping the wax off before it cools?" It solidifies pretty much instantly, so I guess you mean not to wait till the ski cools down completely? How does this make a difference? Mostly just curious. Scott Webster 15:22, 27 November 2006 (MST)

Glide wax

Does anyone know the difference between glide wax for XC skis and downhill skis? They seem to sell both kinds at MEC (at least in the KUU brand). I put the downhill stuff on my backcountry skis, but am curious to know what the difference would be. Maybe the XC stuff would work better with kick wax? But I'm not sure that would make sense since you don't put the kick and glide wax in the same place anyway. Scott Webster 16:56, 27 November 2006 (MST)
