Talk:Intro to Backcountry Skiing

Does this include backcountry snowboarding, assuming we snowboarders can glade (go in between trees) and carry up and down our snowboards?

I think it will be entirely up to the trip leaders to decide. My personal feeling is that mixing skiers and snowshoers in the same group doesn't work very well . Snowboarders on snowshoes count as snowshoers, and snowboarders on split boards count an skiers. There might be enough snowboard / showshoe interest for a seperate group to camp in the same spot but travel seperately during the day. Scott Nelson 11:21, 18 January 2007 (PST)
